Sometimes men ask us: "when can I shower after a hair transplant?"
We advise that you avoid washing your hair and/or running your head under the water for at least one week after a transplant. We want the newly transplanted follicles to firmly take root and avoid any trauma that could knock them loose. You can shower, just keep the water below your neck.
Once you start showering again, one week later, continue to use common sense like not using an experimental shampoo that contains chemicals, and not vigorously washing your hair as hard as possible. Be nice to your hair in those first few weeks of washing!
