Dr. Shelly Lovitt

It's now Jan 2017. After much consideration and thought, I decided to go with the FUE transplant surgery. The staff was extremely friendly and professional. The whole process took about 8 hours. The whole process was also very enjoyable, I was very comfortable, all the support staff was great. Dr. Lovitt did my surgery and she was amazing! She contacted me later on that night to check-in to see how I was doing. She was friendly and answered any questions I had. When I had questions the next day I called the office, the office staff was very helpful and informative when giving me specific answers. I would definitely recommend to anyone and everyone who is thinking about getting a hair transplant procedure done.

Would it be worth it? would the results look natural??

After many hour researching the procedure online, Restore Hair consistently kept popping up as one of the best clinics in the US. As an added bonus, they are only two miles from my house so I made an appointment for a consult with Dr. Lovitt. My goals were simply to minimize the bare areas on the top of my head (hoping to obviate the need to constantly wear a cap or hat in cold weather) and restore a bit of hairline. I simply wanted to look like I was losing my hair, not already bald!

I had approximately 2400 grafts over two days. The procedure was relatively painless and everyone I dealt with at the clinic was wonderful. After the healing, shedding and regeneration process (approximately 14-16 weeks for me) I started noticing the new hairs growing in. The results were incredible. The improved hairline looks natural and the orientation of the implants was done perfectly so as to allow the hairs to grow in the consistent direction of the few remaining hairs I possessed.

Now, two years after the procedure, I am so pleased with the results that I am seriously considering a follow-up procedure to add a touch more coverage and fullness. I will not hesitate to have this done by Dr. Lovitt as well.

I went in with a bald head (almost totally in back, and mostly in the middle front), was told what it would cost to make it look full (hint: a lot), then after making the decision to go forward, the procedure was smooth, and the 9 months after have been very, very exciting. It’s daily excitement. It worked, for one thing. Really well. I have hair now and of lot of it (visually, seeming so). Granted they just moved the hair technically, but anyone would say I went from almost totally bald in back and mostly in front to plenty of hair in front, and only slightly thinning in back. It’s a dramatic, stable change. It’s not like a trick that sometimes looks good, it always looks much fuller than before. It’s like being able to experience what life would be like in different shoes (how people treat you differently etc). I personally had a lot of self confidence before, and now it’s like another layer. I have an opportunity to be kind and look good (you know where most good looking people are kind of rude). Visually, people automatically like you more subconsciously. I still have one procedure left. I’m doing this for professional reasons, but personal benefits shine like the glaring sun. I’ve also been applying minoxidil and finasteride religiously twice a day, so I am encouraging the re-growth, and they'll coach you to do the same. If you follow my lead, you’re on a good path.

Mentally: It’s more fun, and exciting for everyone. Hair is fun. And people around me like the look better and have more fun too. It’s been great. My girlfriend acquaintance who liked me before my surgery said “It looks great but you also looked great bald”. Other girlfriend said "you made the right decision to do this". On the business side: it removes the talking point when making press appearances which is accomplished the primary goal I had for this. While also being very enhancing on the personal side.

It’s very similar to buying a car. It’s a big cost, but big long term stable results that continue to deliver each day. It can change your whole life experience in a positive way. I don't consider it "faking" an appearance, I consider it the same as brushing your hair in the morning to create a pleasant experience for everyone (in the end it's for other people). It's ends up being an overall positive for everyone.

Finally: if you already are wanting your hair back for some reason, or you’ve just decided that you’d like to have hair instead of being bald, we are at that day and age you can make that happen (with some doh and it takes a good amount to pay everyone, they do a lot of work moving hairs individually), I would go with RESTORE. From my perspective they are your BEST chances at the most quality, reliable job, with long term results. My Dr. is Dr. Lovitt. Obviously, she did an incredible job. Frankly, it seems perfect from my perspective (I'm not a hair expert but every hair seems in the exact right spot, lots of planning ahead, no messups at all from what I can see).

I chose Dr Lovitt because she was a little less expensive than Dr Harris, but she was great! Dr Harris was around for the pre -op meeting and even checked up on the procedure a few times. The entire staff was really nice here and made the whole experience really positive.

They were very thorough in explaining the after care and I couldn’t be happier!!!

I finally committed to having the procedure. Dr. Lovitt and her team are extremely personable and professional and have amazing bedside manners making sure you are as comfortable as possible throughout the procedure. Thus far I have experienced zero pain or discomfort and am looking forward to scheduling my next procedure to thicken the top of my head from a previous surgery. I highly recommend Dr. Shelly Lovitt and the team. Even if you do not reside in the Denver area you won’t regret having your procedure.  I’ll post follow up photos in several months showing before/after photos.
