The number of grafts you need is dependent on two primary factors: 1) your personal level of hair loss, and 2) slightly less intuitively, it is also dependent on whether your restoration goals are more aggressive or conservative.

Additionally, age plays a role, because an older man in his 60s will look odd with the hairline of a youthful 20-year-old.
