Can a hair transplant overharvest?
One of the really savvy questions that we occasionally receive is the following: "can you overharvest from the donor area during a hair transplant?"
Technically, it is possible to overharvest from the donor area. However, with an experienced and skilled physician, overharvesting is extremely unlikely. Some cases of overharvesting can be found on the internet if you look hard enough, and that's typically what causes men to ask us this question.
However, the truth is, these cases of overharvest were most likely performed by highly unskilled or new surgeons, and possibly done overseas, in order for those patients to save money. A skilled surgeon will remove your donor hairs skillfully, in a way that is nearly undetectable, and will not overharvets.
