Will I be awake during a hair transplant?

Yes. You will be awake throughout the procedure, making hair transplants a very safe and easy outpatient procedure. We have a television in the operating room, so you can spend the afternoon watching shows or listening to music. During the surgery, you will be under the effects of local anesthesia, and will not feel any pain. If you opt in for an oral sedative you may fall asleep during portions of the procedure.
