I would recommend Dr Harris and his practice wholeheartedly. Dr Harris and his entire team met and exceeded my expectations in professionalism, service, empathy, and surgical excellence. I am an eye surgeon and I believe I have a unique insight into choosing an excellent surgeon for hair restoration. I researched the top doctors and those who had actually written peer reviewed literature on hair restoration. Having been involved in 38 clinical trials myself over the past 17 years as an eye surgeon, I know that publication of articles reflects that the surgeon is on the cutting edge of their field. Also, Dr Harris concentrates exclusively on hair restoration surgery. The general public may not know this, but in order to do hair restoration surgery, all you need is a medical license. No special training is required. Dr Harris completed a residency in otolaryngology (Ear, nose, and throat surgery) which includes extensive training in facial and scalp plastic surgery. I know that otolaryngology residencies are among the most competitive in medicine. You have to be really smart to get in. He went on to do specific training in hair restoration surgery. He led the way in development of the SAFE system, FUE, and the ARTAS robot. Additionally, he actually does most of the procedure himself. I interviewed other doctors and most only create the implant sites. And as a bonus, he actually has had hair restoration surgery himself. That way, I know he believes in what he is doing. After researching Dr Harris, I flew out from Florida to meet with him. I felt he was an excellent listener and had great bedside manner. I was very impressed with his practice. I went on to book my surgery, and flew back out to have it done with him. He and his entire staff are excellent and it was well worth the trip. I highly recommend Dr. Shelly Lovitt and the team at RESTORE I highly recommend the team at RESTORE. My procedure was a few hours ago to the vertex section and it was a wonderful experience. I had my original consultation in 2016 and once I finally committed to having the procedure. Dr. Lovitt and her team are extremely personable and professional and have amazing bedside manners making sure you are as comfortable as possible throughout the procedure. Can't thank you all enough! I had 6 prior surgeries before I visited Dr. Harris - I know that restoration can be an embarrassing (sometimes slightly traumatic) experience even in the hands of great doctors (and I DID have great doctors in the past). I was prepared for another difficult procedure and long recovery (worth it for the hair), but Dr. Harris and his staff made everything easier than I could have imagined. The staff made me comfortable from beginning to end. Dr. Harris discussed every step and its options along the way. The procedure itself was much more comfortable than my previous procedures (again, I had good doctors in the past). Here's the biggie: my recovery time was MUCH SHORTER than I'd expected. His team cut my hair with enough to precision that the procedure was almost completely concealed within a week or two - I couldn't believe it. I had be planning to spend the entire summer under a hat but, t0 days after the procedure (1800 grafts by the way) not even my friends could tell anything different about me. I wish I had known about Dr. Harris earlier in my life because my earlier procedure, though ultimately positive, made for difficult recoveries that left me doubting my choices until the results finally came in. I am a 26 year old male who didn't win the gene lottery when it comes to hair. While I wish it didn't bother me, who doesn't want a solid head of hair! It took me a couple of years to commit to a transplant, and I'm so glad that I did, and even more glad I chose Dr. Harris. My issue with some other consultations was that they would either paint too bleak of a picture, or the exact opposite. Dr. Harris was realistic and positive in my consultations, and I am glad I trusted him. I am 1 year out and loving the results. Sure, it doesn't look like it did 10 years ago, but I honestly don't think any other transplant center could have done a better job than Dr. Harris. Dr. Harris and his staff were true pros, recovery was a breeze, and most importantly the results exceeded my expectations. When I turned 30 I decided to do something about my baldness and discovered Dr. Harris after extensive research. His professionalism and his staff's hospitality immediately made me realize I made the right choice. I was BALD... like George Costanza bald, so my situation was fairly severe. After a thorough evaluation, we opted for a 2-day procedure yielding approximately 3,200 grafts.
