The procedure starts early morning and lasts through the afternoon. We build in time for meals, snacks, and breaks.

There’s really no “down time” associated with the procedure. Although you can go back to work right away, many patients opt to take a day or two off before returning to work. The donor and recipient area is generally back to normal within 5-7 days.

For a few days we ask you to take it easy and not work out, don’t wash your hair or wear hats or helmets, stuff like that. But you can resume working, shopping, driving, the next day.

Patients often see visible growth in just 3 months, and it typically takes 9-12 months for most or all of the hair to fully grow in.
